NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign tour kicked off with enthusiasm as the Possibilities Bus rolled into the Ahafo Region on Thursday. The Vice President was warmly received by chiefs and stakeholders in the region, marking a significant start to his outreach efforts ahead of the upcoming elections.
During his engagements, Dr. Bawumia highlighted a range of policies and programs designed to address the specific needs of the communities. Key initiatives discussed included the introduction of agricultural machinery and technology through the District Agricultural Mechanization Centres, which aims to enhance farming productivity. He also emphasized the availability of soft loans for women traders and the Women’s Empowerment Fund, aimed at promoting female entrepreneurship.
In addition, the Vice President reiterated the government’s commitment to free tertiary education and job quotas for persons living with disabilities. He expressed a strong focus on equipping one million youth with digital skills, a move aimed at fostering global job acquisition and creation.
Dr. Bawumia conveyed an optimistic vision for Ghana under his potential presidency, promising bold new ideas and pragmatic solutions to the nation’s challenges. “The future looks very bright under a Bawumia presidency,” he stated, as he sought to rally support for his candidacy.
