The Chiefs and elders of Dakodwom have pledged their support to the NDC and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, as the party’s running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, led a campaign visit to the community. Embracing the NDC team with traditional blessings, the chiefs voiced their hopes for a Mahama victory in the December elections.
NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso, Faustina Dery, urged locals to vote decisively for Mahama and herself, promising that their leadership would deliver the long-sought development and change the constituency deserves.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman, also present, expressed gratitude to the chiefs, emphasizing the importance of their support in ensuring a free and fair election.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang, deeply moved by Dakodwom’s reception, reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to addressing the needs of Ghanaians. She pointed to the party’s track record in the Ashanti Region, saying these achievements were possible only through Mahama’s proven leadership. “This is a leader who keeps his word and dedicates national resources to progress for everyone,” she stated.
Highlighting Mahama’s vision for a better Ghana, she outlined policies such as the 24-Hour Economy initiative and the establishment of a Women’s Development Bank as part of his comprehensive development agenda. She concluded by rallying Dakodwom residents to stand with the NDC in the December elections, saying, “Together, we can build the Ghana we want.”
