Former Black Starlets coach, Laryea Kingston, has taken up a prestigious coaching role in the United States, marking a significant step in his post-playing career. The ex-Ghanaian international, well-known for his midfield prowess, will work alongside a team of coaches at RPS Academies in Saint Lucie, Florida, as part of their youth development program.
This new position reflects Kingston’s growing reputation as a coach after successfully guiding the Ghana U-17 team. His move to the U.S. comes after gaining valuable coaching experience in Ghana. His leadership of the Black Starlets showcased his ability to nurture young talent, likely contributing to his selection for this top job. Kingston is now eager to expand RPS Academies’ recruitment network, particularly across Africa.
While fully committed to his new challenge in the U.S., Kingston hasn’t ruled out future involvement with the senior national team or his former club, Hearts of Oak. His ambition remains clear – to continue sharing his wealth of knowledge and passion for the game on the global stage while contributing to the development of young footballers in the highly competitive American system. His appointment is expected to elevate Kingston’s profile internationally and could open doors for future opportunities in senior team management.
