This year’s awards will also mark the climax of the GJA’s 75th Anniversary celebrations.

The awards will feature a diverse array of categories, segmented into six divisions.

Division One covers separate awards for News, Features, Documentaries, and Columnists across print, television, radio, and online platforms.

Division Two focuses on specific beats with single awards for categories such as Sports, Education, Investigative, Photojournalism, Arts and Culture, Business/Economics, Environment, Science and Technology, Health, Agriculture, Democracy and Good Governance, Gender, and Crime and Court reporting.

Additionally, Division Three highlights special awards for Disability, Domestic Tourism, Road Safety, and Illegal Mining.

Division Four recognizes the best radio and TV programs in both Ghanaian and English languages, as well as the best newspaper layout.

Promising journalists will be celebrated in Division Five, which includes awards for the best student journalist, the most promising young journalist, and the best female journalist.

The pinnacle of the event, Division Six, will bestow the GJA / P.A.V. Ansah Journalist of the Year award, recognizing the most outstanding journalist of the year.
