Flagbearer of the New Patroitic Party Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on his three-day tour of the Garden City, visited the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. The courtesy call to the revered King was to pay homage and seek elderly advise as he brings his tour of the region to an end.

As the custodian of the rich cultural heritage of the Ashanti Kingdom, the engagement with Otumfuor underscores the deep connection between traditional leadership and modern governance in Ghana.

Speaking to the campaign team that visited Manhyia, Otumfuo admonished Dr. Bawumia to show some form of decency to the people of Ghana and make them aware of what he is going to do when voted into power.

Adding that his advisors should take into consideration what will benefit the people and not their personal gains as they tour the country with their message.

He therefore urged Dr. Bawumia to continue what the president started and could not finish since that is the only way he can win the trust of Ghanaians ahead of election 2024.

Today’s meeting between Otumfuor Osei Tutu II and Vice President Bawumia serves as a reminder of the enduring importance of traditional leadership in modern governance and the collective effort required to drive the nation’s progress.
