The Contractor on the Flowerpot flyover project over the Motorway says completion of work is expected in a few months and handed over to government.
Physical progress is about seventy percent complete, as the East Legon-Cantonments bound portion of the flyover is almost ready.
The contractor is working on three spans simultaneously, while considering day-and-night schedules to speed up the project.
Emmanuel Degbotse, an engineer an consultant to the project, says work is going on according to specifications.
Roads Minister, Mr. Kwasi Amoako-Attah, who said the project is one of government’s priorities, was satisfied with progress of work done, and expressed same.
The project was re-awarded in 2017, aiming to eliminate stress and reduce travel hours trying to manoeuvre through the Flowerpot roundabout area, plying the Spintex Road, with an uninterrupted flyover link from East Legon toward Cantonments and vice versa.
